Question I need help with my mobo volts

hey overclockers
i have a problem, my cpu is E2180, i overclocked it to 2.8G,
first i but it on 1.3 volt then i monitored it's temp i found it 35C on idle
i wanted to decrease the temp so i reduced the volts in bios till it reached 1.225
at every time i reduce the volts cpu-z shows it as 1.29 and still the same temp
so what should i do?

Dont go by idle its meaningless use load temps and there might only be slight diff in load temps maybe 1-2c at most with those voltages.

Have you tried a diff program to test voltages and what does bios hardware monitor read at?

Might be glitch maybe? Test under full load to check this.

35*C at idle is very good. But like Rick said you should go by the load temps (use Prime95 to stability test the cpu) and see the difference.

It is indeed very confusing that the voltage remains at 1.29V according to CPU-Z even though you just put it to 1.225V in the BIOS.

Can you perhaps elaborate a bit on what you're doing? I mean, like I said, it's indeed very confusing that the voltage, according to CPU-Z, is not changing no matter what you choose in the BIOS.

Hmm. It's not blazing hot, but it does seem a little bit high for 1.29V.

I'm sorry to ask such a question, but is it staying at 1.296V no matter where the voltage is set in BIOS?
