Default Volt mod a FX5500

Anyone have any recollection on how to volt mod an FX5500, all I can get out of it now is 290/145 from 250/133, I'm not trying to kill it and if it gets to hot I can strap something bigger to it.

All help with this little experiment will be rewarded. And please no posts saying how useless this will be.

I don't think its possible. But you may be able to get better clocks if you put a better cooler on it or replace the TIM.

I know, but I like to fiddle with older tech, especially when I'm using a temp setup.

It's not limited by heat yet.

If I remember from my days of tweaking my FX5200, you can do some voltage adjustments just by modding the BIOS. I only ever used the BIOS mod to set clocks on my 5200 (only way it would OC), but it is a powerful tool if used properly.

System: The Black... Slice? (Latitude E6500)
CPU
Core 2 T9550
Memory
4.00 GB OCZ
Graphics Card
Quadro NVS-160M
Hard Drive
250 GB 7200 rpm
OS
Windows 7 Professional x64
Monitor
15.4" 1440*900

Can you link me to the tool you used?

Ahh... Doing a Google search, I think it was nibitor. Screenshots seem familiar, so I'd say try following their guide about how to mod the BIOS. Mind you, there is a non-negligible chance of screwing up, so tread with caution.

I know bios modding can be destructive if not done correctly.
