Default what is a safe voltage?

hey im going to be overclocking my amd phenom II x4 940. just wondering what is a safe voltage because i dont want to destroy my chip???.

at stock my volts are 1.35

Manufacturer guidelines suggest not overvolting past 1.5v. If I were you, I would consider 1.475v as my maximum safe voltage, but that's for some serious overclocking.
