Hea, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I'm currently working on an FAQ, and I have an old CPU fan I'm testing. I need some data to see if what I'm doing is actually effective (Details will be in the FAQ!), so I need a way to read the sensor wire (Don't want to harm my computer, that and lazyness). Does anyone know how I can do this? I.E. with a multimeter or something?

The RPM fan header? Use a digital multimeter to test how many volts it puts out, for a reference, mine puts out between .080 and .120 volts.

So, I connect one end of a voltmeter to the sensor wire, but where do I put the other connector? Positive or negative lead on my fan?

Red goes to your lead, black goes to any ground/black wire on your molex.
