welllll i took it to a guy to do it and well its F'ed lol he warned me it may not work cause its an EXTREMELY small spot to do it. And well both SMD's are fried so the card is useless lol. TIME FOR AN UPGRADE!!!! R.I.P. 7800gt

Aww man, sorry about that. But since the guy told you it might not work, he's not liable. If you can wait, G71 should be out in less than a month so I'd definitely wait until then.

i didnt do it lol when i desoldered everything i put it back in the comp for the night and it worked perfect. Are you a good solderer or something?? next time i wanna do something like this i can send it to you and youll do it lol. i still have the card and it looks like the SMD's just need to be soldered back on. Can you do that or know anyone else who can?
