Most volt mods require hardware modification or if not, a BIOS flash.

Pros:

Increases Overclockability

Cons:

Voids warranty
95% of the time requires aftermarket cooling due to heat
Hardware mods require great soldering skills.

The cons heavily out weight the pros on this one. I wouldn't risk it if I were you, but if you do here's a general idea how too:

If your that into it, it's best to just up the voltage with a bios flash. Most vmods for gfx cars are for droop and for fixing common errors with cards (such as back screens ect.). Evo stated it well, the cons are heavy unless you know what your doin.

you can volt mod using a lead pencil by scribbling a line between certain points on the carfd but at best it will give you 0.6v increase - doesn't seem much worth it but never the less.........................there is a faq lying around here somewhere telling you how to do it

I will dig it out for you if you really want to know how to do it...

i have a 7900 GT and I'm definitely not up to the vmod challenge, will there still be a noticable performance increase if I still OC it, without the mod?
