Explanation.. What I see is even though these new WU's coming down with -AdvMethods are 4x the length as well should be 4x the points; they seem to really hurt the 285/295's output.

I'm still testing but I did remove -AdvMethods for a few hours and promptly picked up some 384's as normal however I went back with the 1600 pointers before the evening just to see.

Now, I didn't do much on my rig last night like game or stuff (I typically do run an hour or two without folding) so I got nearly 10k PPD on the card alone last night so maybe it's just a "perceived" problem and not a real one at this time. Judgement is still out; I would hold on off removing -AdvMethods for now and maybe foreever.
The thing that I like about these new units is that they run a lot cooler which is a plus for me since my folding rig is in my bedroom. I like it to be cold at night in order to fall asleep

Also, during the day I am off to school so it needs not to over heat itself. I would leave the door open but my roommates have cats and I don't want any of them in my room

I remember it being super hot when I would come home when my GTS would crunch 511's all day long. For now I do not see the use in removing the -advmethods for my needs anyways... I am still getting +5k PPD... Not that that is impressive compared to your 8-10k PPD but hey. I am folding 24/7

True mega.. I agree on the cooler running WU's and I'm back to them, for now.

That seriously is great PPD for that monster of a card.. I'm trying not to game anything up lately so I'm essentially folding 24/7 as well for now. Like my current workload at my employment gives me anytime to really game lately

Those 511's tho were the devil for heat and PPD.

That's why I left my 3870x2 in my gaming rig

I don't have to worry about it

On the other hand... I don't know where all of this money is coming from since I am broke...

Oh well, it's for a good cause!
