Spent this whole week dialing it in. Finishing up the last of the stability tests tonight hopefully. Only thing I feel I can get more out of is my Memory, which is not real big for folding. The other thing I am working on is a job so I can get a dedicated board/cpu/psu and a GTX260 or so just to be a little more competitive. I think the team in general is not looking to be the best, nor is our equipment going to allow that, but being anywhere but last would be pretty nice, especially since its for a good cause.

If you get a 260, you should be fighting for the top spots, provided you can fold 24/7.

And yes, at the end of the day its all for a good cause.

Lemans will stop folding for the month and rx has been trying to setup a dedicated system.
So there is a good chance you can overtake them this month and not finish last. if it motivates you

I really love this 9800GTX+, especially since it runs so flawlessly on water, but once the 300's are out, and the 200's are cheap, it will be time to let go of these for sure!

With that 9800 + you should still get close to 6k considering its overclocked. You should fare pretty well if you can fold consistently.

And yes, all the 200 series cards should drop in price with the launch of the 300 series.

Yeah it's a driver issue.

As far as the GTX+ goes, i'm not gonna lie to you that's definitely your weakest PPD card and y'all are gonna be putting up a fight till it gets upgraded..don't go GTX260 though. Get a GTX275. Same shaders and clocks on the shaders as a 285, but half the price. May not score you as many vantage points but when it comes to F@H it'll trounce a 260.

1 month of no gaming, I dont think I can do that. I stayed up till 8.00 an this morning playing Red Faction sleep for a couple hours and I am about to start again I pre ordered Batman but it wont get here till the 22nd the day the foldathon starts. Damn the luck.

If you guys say no sub folding for gaming then I will not use a sub for gaming. There will be days in the month where I may game 48 hours with only taking breaks to eat and use the bathroom. However for the most part I fold 24/7 only when a new game comes out that I like and I only play game once unless the multiplayer is really good.

By the way Red Faction is awesome. It makes me think what the hell is physx for. The physics in the game is mind blowing. They was not lying about the red part the whole games is red. The only thing I dont like is it is kinda like farcry 2 in a way the open world and all. Not as slow as far cry though and AI is much better.
