im sorry if this is in the wrong section and for the noob question.. but what is folding??? ive looked in places on the site and cant find anything

Helping out worthy causes. (research against disease etc) Nvidia cards with the more shaders the better. ATI cards can do it also i think, but nvidia seem to be no 1

Your GPU does some workload. Basically so many people sign up, supercomputer amounts of work gets done. Download workloads and runs. when finished 1, uploads results and downloads another to start, and so on and so on. Stuff like cancer research etc How protien works etc etc etc
