Good post... it's common sense anyways, but it may help clear it up for some people that weren't able to view it in this way. +rep

Very interesting thread, my old amd system seemed bottle necked when I ran a 1700 plus with a 9700 pro, put a 2400 plus in and it seems to fix things

The reason why a lot of people buy hardware that allows them to play games at 150FPS isn't because they need to play at 150FPS NOW, it's that their computer has to last a couple of years and by then, with more graphically intense games, they WILL be playing at 60FPS or less.

So it would be a good suggestion for people to buy good hardware (both CPU AND GPU) that is matched up right now, then a year or so down the road not have to worry about upgrading.

Not really, because games of the future as still more graphically challenging than CPU. Which only shifts the curves down and the TBP back. DX10 makes you seem foolish as these cards are proven to suck with DX10 and is entirely GFX limited. Call of Juarez anyone? There will be a few that want more than one core... but if that's NECESSARY, it still remains to be seen and is still irrelevant if you've got a 165.

I wrote an entire article about how I'm correct and.... you honestly feel comfortable saying "/makes no valid point" after reading the article? (and apparently and completely misunderstanding and/or ignoring what it shows)

If you noticed I quoted you from your post, not about the original article.
