did some stuff similar in CS:S
but didnt document, because i didnt care lol
(all tests i did were with 8500 video card)
it seems that the source engine relies on the GPU more than anything
not necessarily the rest of the card as much, but gpu itself
(mind you, im fairly my old processor was bottlenecking the system)
*it was a 533FSB P4 prescott@3.3ghz
