you have to ask yourself what you honestly expect from your video cards. if you just want to be able to play games at max settings without having to worry about your framerates, an 8800 GTX would make you very happy. everyone here agrees that Ultras are nothing more than a gimmick. if, on the other, hand, your only goal is to out-do everyone else and have slightly higher benchmark scores than them, then you're probably a mega geek and will always be one.

x38 is intel's chipset that supports dual x8 PCI-Express slots for crossfire, did I miss something?

Seriously avoid the Ultra it's nothing more than a slightly overclocked GTX with a better looking stock cooler. And is a complete joke....Get a GTX.

Your memory looks a bit ropey though, those timings aren't that great.

NOTE: Also, for those that want Ultras beware....There are many places selling modified GTX's with the Ultra Cooler attached. They get a GTX, overclock it and flash the bios and attach an Ultra cooler.

har har, after all that crap I got a deal on an Ultra for 599 so I bought that instead of two 640M 8800gts's 'cause it was 200$ cheaper and I can always buy a second one!

It should all be showing up tomorrow!! win.

Show me one and I'll win an easy lawsuit. The 8800 Ultra is listed as having a new stepping. If that's not what I receive, I have a slam dunk court case. Give me a link to one of the "many places" selling these and I'll buy one.
