Default problem at startup ( plz help )

well i got this probelm after i was goign through my cds and noticed a ASUS cd for my motherbaord i never used the cd at all so i decided to put it in. i installed it and everything, then at next start up windows is trying to install some hardware and when i go to my bios i got alot more things in there than i did before.. will this go away after i formatt cos im gona formatt tomorow get rid if all the junk in the pc will this fix the problem? i have uploaded a pic of the problem. it occurs everytime i get into windows.

so if this problem wont goaway after formatt can u give me tips on how to fix it.

Yes, reformatting will make that go away.

Looks like the ASUS cd you used had some older chipset drivers that caused compatibility issues

Noticing that it's a VIA thing...you should try downloading the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers http://www.viaarena.com/downloads/dr..._4in1_443v.zip

That is a direct link to their older 4-in-1's (as the Hyperion 4-in-1 are tailored for later chipsets)

ok thanks man... umm ill install this thing if i dun like dont matter formating tomorow afternoon

when installing update dose it give you any porformance gain?

Which update? The 4-in-1's I linked?

Updating chipset (or platform drivers, as VIA calls it) is a good thing, makes everything talk better (talk meaning interact).

You may not notice a performance increase visibly, but usually updated platform drivers give extra stability and occasionally a slight performance boost.
