That isnt true at all because 3dmark benefits more off of a faster processor than gpu (cpu dependent). Just look at some of the 20K 3dmark06 scores with a highly overclocked QX9650 and a single 8800GTS 512. Now compare that 20K to 15K with a Q6600 overclocked to 3.4 GHZ and the same gpu. The only reason why the QX9650 got 5K more points is because 3dmark is mainly all cpu. Theres no way that a Q6600 at 3.4GHZ is bottlenecking a 8800GTS 512 lol.
