Oddly enough I think I'm going to go with the 3870 myself but it won't be for a month or two. I'll revisit the issue then to see where the prices stand since I'd rather stay "green" than go back to "red" simply because I like the warranty that's available on XFX cards.

At least it's a competition with festive colors.

like i said, ncix never has the 3870 in stock so i got a galaxy 8800gt 512 for $250

Flash the BIOS and take it to 900MHZ, 8800 GT will cry. Plus its cheaper, scales better, etc.

Bestbuy.com had the 3870 for $214.99 and the 8800GT for $237.99.
