Ok well in the last few days i can't tell you guys how many times ive had to tell people how/where to dl rivatuner so im kinda bored already have pictures and figure i would put them into a tutorial to help out the new members who have no clue what this program is and how to use it.
RivaTuner 2.08 Software Description Rivatuner is one the leading tweak utility available for NVIDIA GeForce and ATI Radeon based videocards. What's a graphics card tweaker without the proper tools to do so ? Exactly; Rivatuner has been updated towards version 2.08 In this release we have included a huge number of stuff to keep you busy, obviously GeForce 9600 GT & ForceWare 174.xx support is here as well. RivaTuner is a complete powerful tweaking environment, providing you everything you may need to tune NVIDIA GPU based display adapters. The widest driver-level Direct3D / OpenGL and system tuning options, flexible profiling system allowing to make custom settings on per-application basis, both driver-level and low-level hardware access modes, unique diagnostic and real-time hardware monitoring features and exclusive power user oriented tools like built-in registry editor and patch script engine make RivaTuner's feature set absolutely unmatched. RivaTuner supports all NVIDIA display adapters starting from Riva TNT family up to the latest GeForce 9 series and widest range of NVIDIA drivers starting from the oldest Detonator 2.08 up to the newest ForceWare drivers family. In addition to complete NVIDIA hardware support, RivaTuner also provides limited support for display adapters based upon ATI RADEON 8500 and newer ATI graphics processors. All RivaTuner's features besides driver-level tuning options are also available on supported ATI hardware. Download RivaTuner 2.08(current version as of 3/11/2008) Step 1: Download/Install RivaTuner Step 2: Open RivaTuner Step 3: Click on the arrow buy customize/select first box ![]() ![]() Step 4: Click on the Fan Tab/Press dectect now ![]() ![]() Step 5: Enable "Low Level Fan Control"/Check Fixed Slide Marker To Whatever Percentage You Want/Check Apply Fan Settings At Windows Startup/Press Apply And Your Done! ![]() EDIT: IF YOU HAVE A 8800GTS(G92) 512mb PLEASE READ THIS OR ELSE RIVATUNER FAN CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK!!!! ![]()

I also didnt have a fan control tab in step 3... it did mention it didnt support my card and i need to find a updated version.... yes i did follow your very simple steps; also including the options extention arrow under graphics card. just no fan control guess im stuck with nTune. +Rep for making a simpified guide *Thank-You!* athough one size dosent fit all... not your fault.

If you are using CCC 8.7, then the XML file will be inside the "Profiles" folder.
