3x 9800GTX is my vote. You will also need a 780i or 790i motherboard. That's about $1200 right there. It is a waste of money in my opinion, though. But dude, if you are going to spend that much, make use of that monitor all the time! Good luck!

If Nvidia does like they did with the 7950GX2, there will be absolutely no drivers support for the 9800GX2 as soon as the 9900s are released. Which means one card will barely work at his full potential on the new newest games, so don't even bother about having the second card working...
__________________If you go Nvidia, go with 9800GTX or wait for 9900, if you go ATI, grab a 3870X2 and wait for a 4870 and add it for a tri-fire =)

I agree with tehPwner (who needs to revert back to his lord helmet avatar. this white suit with a helmet is offputting)
wait for the newer cards, if for no other reason then you will find better deals on the current technology and be able to afford those pricey waterblocks

2x 8800GT 512 2x 8800GTX 768 the 9-series except for the 9600 are a waste of money

2x 9800GX2's is the way to go, but not for $800 you need $1200 just for those.
