Just a thought. Whats the best performing card that you dont need to buff extra power into?

8600GT? (some do not have an auxillary power connector)

Some 8600GTS use only the 4-pin Molex plug. Not sure about the ATI side.

The 9600GT, low power, and almost has the performance of an 8800gt.

Without a PCI-E connector, Nvidia 8600GT, ATI 2600XT or ATI 3650 none of those need a connector.

Wow shows how much I know Sorry i thought the x600gt always didnt have pcie connectors. I guess everything is moving toward that now.

8600GT,HD 2600XT or HD 3650 like the poster above the last poster said :P

Or you could get a PCI-E 2.0 board and get a 9600GT,you might not need the PCI-E power connector since PCI-E 2.0 delievers double the wattage of PCi-E 1.x

Technically it shouldn't, but since they don't know how to label their cards in a manner that makes understanding their relative power easy, it does. 9600gt is roughly on par with a 8800gt, not like the previous generations where it was only a tiny step above the previous x600.
