Default Phew

I'm glad it's not head and heels above my 9800GTX... I would have been upset, that something came out shortly after and was this much cheaper. I think I've got myself talked into a second 9800GTX if the price drops the way I think it might.

Yep get yourself another 9800GTX instead.

If you are space conscious then go with the 4850; if you want something that will keep your card cool, go with the 9800 GTX. If you have either card, changing it for another is not necessary, just get another card to go into crossfire or SLI. Saying that, I'd wait 'till the next drivers come out if you are thinking about the 4850's. Apparently it should receive a decent boost, probably on par with the 9800GTX+. (I'm waiting for the 4870's )

Overall, I say it would be better to buy a HD4850. If you only benchmark, I'd get the 9800GTX.

Better yet, wait to see what the HD4870 does.

I'm curious regarding this issue as well...

With AoC out now and WAR on the horizon I'm debating selling my older 8800GTS 320 and purchasing the 4850 over the 9800GTX - all of the reviews I've seen place is ahead of the later if not close to the 260. I still have time though so I'll probably be patient and wait for the 9800GTX+ to see what nvidia has to respond with...

hmmmm

I'm a bit in a dilemma here.. I now have an 8800GTX wich I traded for my GTS 640 at no costs. However, a friend was interested in buying my GTS, so if I would trade back I can sell it and get a 4850 for like €75, but I don't really know if it's worth the extra performance over the GTX..

You could probably still sell the GTX for nearly $200.

I'm also considering which to get. I'm leaning towards the 9800GTX just because of the companies that sell it (XFX/EVGA/BFG). There is a $9 difference between the two but the 9800GTX comes with CoH which I wouldn't mind having as well. Tough choice...

Is Visionteks lifetime warranty actually reliable? I read a few mixed reviews on them.
