They are now, but by the same token, DDR2 is also cheaper than DDR. The last generation will usually hit a price spike when production goes down, and before that technology dies off. Once DDR3 picks up, expect DDR2 prices to start rising.

I found this PCI to PCI-e adapter on the egg today. Looks like it may actually work pretty well.

I know its a bump, but PCIe 1x has like, a 16Mb/s difference to PCI, so you won't notice anything.

I might get one for a Low Profile TV tuner card I'm getting (PCIe) since if I get a DFI x48, I'll only have one PCIe 1x slot, and I'm getting a PCIe sound card too, so it will be useful, depending on the circumstances.
