did you look at the benches i posted? Most of the games they looked at didn't include the 1920x1200 resolutions in the review you showed. I heard the 55nm is supposed to be around when the 4870X2 comes out.

Yeah, you could always do that. Or just buy another 4870

The 55nm might lower prices, and lower tempertures, which will allow higher clocks and yes, better performance, but are you sure you would want to waste your $300 credit on a smaller GPU, thats basically the same. BTW the price might be $300, but i looked into EVGA's prices and they are $100-200 more then what stores charge, so you might need to shell that out just to upgrade=(

The 4870 is already 55nm.

IMO I would get a 4870 over the 260 and even the 280 for that matter. If you really wanted best performance per dollars 4850 in CF is the way to go.

So basically the GTX 260 could gain an advantage over it, after it switches to 55nm, cheaper and higher clocks! The 4870 is going to have to shrink in size again, which im doubtful that will happen

The GTX 260 fails in almost every benchmark against the 4870. Well other then Crysis and 3dmark. Everyone already knows Crysis is extremely Nvidia biased. It's total speculation that the price will go down and that it will overclock higher.
