Default 9600gso 512mb or 3850512mb

what would you think would be better. this is not for my sig rig, so disregard that. the resolution i would be running is 1440x900, so idk if the 192 bit mem interface would affect that.
Thank you very much.

Go for the 3850
They're pretty much the same, but from the benchmarks I've seen, the HD3850 performs better than the GSO more often than the GSO performs better than the HD3850

At higher resolutions, the HD3850 wins most of the time

For your resolution, try to invest in a better card (9600GT maybe)

i used to have an 8800gs (which is basicly the same card just 384 mb ram), it played most of my games at 1440x900 at high settings with smooth fps (except fsx and crysis of course). but i agree with slowend and try to get a 9600gt or a 8800gt.

For that resolution the 9600GT and 8800GT would suit you better.

well, I'm pretty sure they don't make 512mb 9600GSOs, so I'm gonna say for your resolution, if you can find a 9600GT or 8800GT for $110, get it, but otherwise, go for the 3850

LOL, I didn't even know they still used GDDR2 on video cards... not only that... its 128bit.

He'd be better off with the 192bit 384mb GDDR3 version.
