Good stuff, I don't use resolution that high, so I should be good to go with Crysis on high!

Honestly, get yourself a 9800GTX or a HD 4850. It will play all new games on high currently.

A latest GPU such as 4850 or 9800GTX/GTX+ should be fine so bewteen GTX260 and 4870, get the cheaper price one.

QFT! but if you have the $$ get a 4870 so you can later crossfire with with a 4850,4870, or the 4870x2 :O

which one handles AA and AF better?

i've always preferred ATI cards, and then i tried out my 7800gt.. i was greatly disappointed that it didnt support AA and HDR at the same time.. gotta have everything

of course it can't handle all that on the newer games.. but alas, this makes me want a 4870 instead of a gtx 260.

maybe ill buy a 4870 and then add another when the price drops a few bucks... my motherboard supports it

does the fact that it only has 512mb compared to the nvidia cards make a huge difference? and why do the ATI cards perform near the same when the nvidia cards have 1/4 the amount of processors at around the same speed?

IIRC it's cause the quad shader tech they use.

man from the two companies card histories it really seems that ATI cards last longer and are generally better at handling higher quality settings. NVidia cards seem more like nvidia just wants your money imo.. im very displeased with my 7800gt lol

the benchmarks sell the cards i guess, and nvidia certainly seems to know how to get good benchmarks.
