If you really want an AGP card, here's a decent one for a good price

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131014

I'd rather save up money for a new rig though

LMAO Newegg put a 280GTX as a picture for the FX5500...

I'd recommend the 6600GT. It's a power house

I second the GeForce 6200 for what you're doing. It's cheap, and if you're not gaming, it should be great! The one in the link only has a 64bit interface, which may hinder its performance.

That FX5500 that was linked earlier would probably be just as good or maybe better, given that it has a 128bit interface.

no, the 6200 64bit will still kick a 5500 128bits ass. a 5500 is just a SLIGHTLY overclocked 5200. it really sucks. get the 6200.

Last time I checked, Nivida made the 7800gs and 7950gt in AGP.

link please for an affordable 6600GT.

i guess if he can win this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/PNY-Verto-GeForc...QQcmdZViewItem
then go for it

and the 7900/7950 is in agp, but if youre gonna spend that much, might as well go for a 3850 at $115 after mir, BUT HE IS NOT GOING TO GAME, SO ITS OVERKILL!!!! plus his pc's gonna seriously bottleneck any of those cards. i wouldnt spend more than $50 total, after shipping
