crazcookie you tell me the frequency is all in one processor. Surprice-you wrong, the frequency is not that important. The architecture and many many other things makes one processor powerful. The manufacturer calculate 2.4ghz are fine and that's it. I want to tell you if 3.5-4.0 ghz was better for cpu they will make it to 3.5-4.0 stock, but they didn't for a reason.

I find out my cpu is okay with auto vcore and 3.0ghz. Everest shows me that stock vcore is 1.28-is it right?

if you are not happy with the FPS you are getting now then get the 4850 sell the 8800GT for $100, then pay $80 more for the 4850
at 1680x1050 the 4850 can be more than 50% faster than the 8800GT my 2 cents

9800GTX>8800GT
4850 > 9800GTX Gaming: Call of Duty 4 ![]() Activision recently released Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the next installment in the popular war game series. Moving away from the World War II setting, Modern Warfare instead centers around a conflict involving Russia and the Middle East. And hey, you even get to die ... and then continue the game in the past. Call of Duty 4. Is there anyone who doesn't like the game? For this benchmark we disguise ourselves in the Ghillie suit, load up ACT II - All Ghillied up. Not just for the great gameplay, but also the intense and dense graphics utilized are breathtaking. Massive high-quality texturing, shaders and a serious amount of shadows, fog and debris are applied in this level to mask and hide as best as you can. Image Quality setting: * 4x Anti Aliasing * 16x anisotropic filtering * All settings maxed out Okay then, ATI yesterday released a new driver which mentioned a big improvement of COD4 performance. That improvement definitely was also present in our driver. that's 2560x1600 @ 32 FPS with all image quality settings enabled set to high for 200 bucks people. ^Taken from guru3d 4850 review.
