no it's ok. im reading reviews 8800gt sli vs hd4850 but the hd4850 has better results. why is that?

where did you read that??
8800gt overclocked is not that far from a 4850

Everyone knows that a faster Dual Core is better than slower quad FOR GAMING.

BTW, e8400 and q6600 are both based on the core architecture.
If your game doesn't utilize all 4 cores...then a 3.5 to 4.0 WILL be faster than 2.4.....

3.5 or 4.0 e8400 will be faster from a 3.0 quad? I think not

of course a 4ghz dual will beat a 3ghz quad in GAMING while the latter will beat the first in 3dmark06. and the 4850 is not ALOT better than the 8800gt SLIng them will certainly beat one 4850(SLI 8800gt is basically a 9800X2)

If I were you I would buy another used 8800GT for ~$100-$110 and SLI them
the other option is to go for a 4870 not 4850
