Single 4870x2, if you need another later add. From what people have been saying the new X2 card has been rocking. Quad GPUs do not scale as well as dual unless you're going to be at very high resolutions.

Any other thoughts on this? I'm leaning towards the 4870X2 for my upcoming build at the moment.

so what res are you going to play at anyways... I think the 4870 x2 is better at 25X16 but the GTX280 SLi beats it at 19X12. ( NO PROOF OF THIS BTW )
