I agree with the above points. 1680x1050 is not worth the upgrade.

I have the X2 but I'm also currently shopping for a 24" monitor as well. If I was sticking with my 22", I would have stayed with my SLI'd 8800gts G92's

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yes, but keep the 8800's and set up a folding rig with them.


You'll be set, graphically, for a few years. :\ The 8800's are already starting to show their age in that respect.

Big, noisy and very efficient with air cooling.

I like it. I've had in the last two years: Thermaltake armor, coolermaster stacker 830, silverstone Temjin TJ09, Coolermaster Cosmos S and now the antec 1200.

Its not as elegant a design as the cosmos S but I couldn't fit a TRUE in the cosmos S.

On a scale of 10, I'd give it about an 8.5.

I would keep the 8800 GTs if you plan on staying at 1680x1050. If you think you might go 24" in the near future, then get the X2.
