Default Poll: 4870 vs. GTX260, Price and performance

Hehe, seeing all the polls around here I though I might add my first one.

After seeing all the reviews, these seem to be the cards with the closest performance(1 card only, I don't know about CF or SLI) as well as price.

Which would you choose???

Just a tip, either graphcis card u choose, ur cpu is gunna be ur bottleneck. I dont think ull see much performance game. The 8800gt is still a decent card. I would say spend the money on a new cpu. Probably a e7300 and a nice cooler then oc it. Or if u dont wanna oc just get a quad or a e8500. But if u dont want a new mobo, pick up a new tri or quad core from amd.

Lol, I know it would bottleneck me. I'm intending to upgrade my entire rig, so it won't be a problem. Seeing how close these two graphics cards were, I wasn't sure which would be better so I posted this poll

I disagree......he will get much more performance gain from the 4870 than the 8800gt..if he wanted to stay with it he wouldnt start this thread....
