Yeah, definitely use absolute max settings (aa and af included). Who honestly cares if they have 100+ fps, can't tell the difference between that and ~60+.

Why are you using the 8.8 drivers, they are horrendous. Use the drivers from the disc.

Crysis in DX10 would be much more telling.

so far it seems in the conparitives the 280 is pulling a slightly better average but the 4870x2 is pulling higher max frames and low min frames :S i rather want too see the crysis comparitive though, think it will be more interesting then

unfortunately crysis DX10 doesent seem to work with my 4870x2 , with the current drivers , i havent benched it yet , but dont hold your breath for the 4870x2 winning in the DX9 either , the drivers available are in my oppinion shocking......but everygame is perfectly playable , just not getting "boa****ll" frame rates if ya know what i mean

honestly , from what im seeing , the 4870x2 is not a killing machine compared to the GTX280....either that or both of us are cpu limited............................


also , how do i take frame rate cap of some games?

a lot of my games are capped @ 60fps , even though vsync is disabled in CCP
