Thanks guys reason for not wanting XFire is because currently have a 780i FTW motherboard, and I'm more of an Nvidia fan.

GTX280 SLI is a heckalot more expensive, but is much better
Quad-SLI is...eh. Have you considered GTX260 216sp SLI, or is money really not an issue?

280 sli for sure. though it must be said, you would get a lot more performance if you sold your mobo and grabbed a Crossfire compatible one with 2 4870x2's
