Default 9800 GX2 or GTX 280

Hi guys I need some advice on what graphics card I should buy. I'm starting to build my first Gaming Computer, I have no said budget and I definitely want to go SLI. So I'm flopping between either a 9800 GX2 Quad SLI and GTX 280 SLI. I might go Tri SLI in the future, when the prices go down on the GTX 280. I'm open to discussion about the GTX 260, but I don't think Ill be buying that. Ill be playing on a 24" 1920x1200.

Get GTX 280 SLi over 9800GX2 SLi. And since you have no budget maybe get 4870x2 crossfire.

Can I ask you why SLI and not open to Xfire? If you didn't buy or have any SLI equipments yet, why don't you also consider looking at the other side?

Well, on topic...
I recommend GTX 280 if you do have budget @ that resolution.

Im assuming he is only interested in changing his graphical solution. He is currently running a 780i EVGA motherboard.

The 9800GX2 alone is great, but last I heard, quad SLI drivers suck.
