Default Should I buy the GTX260 216 or 4870 1gb?

I am going to buy a new card, I am leaning towards the 4870 1gb, but since they are in the same price range, what do you guys suggest? I've always used Nvidia products, but I am no fan boy and just want the best card for my cash. I am hopefully on the verge of selling me HD2900xt 1gb, and then I am going to try and sell my other two cards.

Also, if anyone is interested, I am selling my 8800 GTS 512, flashed to 750/2200 stable and also
xfx 8800 GS XXX edition.

Hell, this guy seems like a flake onthe HD2900XT 1gb so if you have an offer on that I'll entertain it.

Thanks Guys!

GTX 260

I know this is gonna sound kinda mean but its usefull if you dont know how to use google properly. Take your question and rephrase it like this "card 1 vs card 2" or "card 1 or card 2"

That was a quick search, Ill edit some more info in a lil, and the google sentence is just to get you started with some info before you post, idc if you dont but I find it easier sometimes to google like that before a forum post, but I dont mind doing it for you

From what I researched. they trade off in certain games and resolutions so if you do my google search "readme" then look @ images and look around @ the benches.

Also the cheapest one would be the one I pick unless you dont mind spending a lil more or if there the same price do the google images

I've already done the google research, which is why I am posting here where there are a lot of people who have used these cards, have a lot of expertise and can make points you don't normally think about. So thanks for the linked google stuff, but its not what I am looking for.

GTX260 216 if you plan on 4xAA or lower otherwise 4870 1GB
Though I kind of like nVidia's AA quality a bit better, but it's so minuscule that I wouldn't notice unless I'm starting at the ground for a while.

I have the EVGA 260 GTX SC and love it. Core is at 602 and OC'd to 725 without issues.

Played Crysis Warhammer on Gamer last night for the first time and hitting 30-40's FPS with 2 or 4AA, can't remember and I am on a 22" screen.

Although I am on an ATI Crossfire board and will someday probably move to the 4870x2 or the thing of the day at that point.
