There is alot involved. Im taking that your mobo is atleast a pcie. What kind of mobo, and power supply you have. That card will require some extra juice to it, but not as much juice as the 6800 ultra's did. There might be some other questions to ask yourself first. That card however is kick the GTX runs am3 over 100,000 and the 6800 ultra in sli which is 2 cards running gets like 90,000 at most some exceptions though.

rofl guys, thanks a lot for your comments, I really appreciate them, although as you already noticed, my specs are for my labtop and im buying two new computers (one with GT and one with GTX). I'll be upgrading both of them in about a year to SLI.
Probably the main reason I asked this question was because (I know you cant help me with this but I mention it anyway) I live in New Zealand and currently there is no other GT brands other than Galaxy Tech, Sparke, Microstar, PixelView and Leadtek. I'm going to put my money on some of those brands being the same as the one's you guys mentioned (ie eVGA, XFX etc) but under a different name, either that or I might have to investagate how to import the cards... In any case, thanks gcraw5100 and Jori your probably the closest ones to answering my question, although does anyone know what sort of performance difference there could be between the different brands? Say 5% or 10%? (Excluding OC versions of course) Or does anyone know of any site which compares lots of GTX and/or GT BRANDED cards? To everyone else, thx for your comments anyway

Why are you buying both cards? A 7800 GT, or a 7800GTX. There is probably a 5-15% difference in the cards performance... But if you can I would get both 7800GT. save you some extra money and you will still have a totally awsome card. What processors are you gonna get in the comps though? The 7800's require some CPU behind em to run good.

I think the cards just kinda max out at a certain fps.. The 7800GT should score higher, considering it gets consistantly 96-99 fps on all res's..
