Default 7800 Brand Performance

I am looking into buying either a GT or a GTX but there is a considerable price range to choose from, I have been unable to find reviews of cards that arnt 'expensive' so I was just wondering if anyone knew whether there is any difference between the different brands. ie Are all the GT and GTX pritty much the same in terms of performance?
(This of course excludes OC versions or other non-standard modifications)

The 7800GT has a little slower clock speed in memory and core, and has 4 less pipelines, and one less vertex shader than the 7800GTX

The 7800GTX has more pipelines then the 7800GT. I think the GTX has 24, while the GT has 20. Thus, the 7800GTX gives better performance.

I would get the GT despite the fact it is a little slower, I believe you will get more performance for you money, unless you have 500 dollars just burning a hole in your pocket. But if that is the case wait until ATI releases their card with 32 pipelines, it should blow the 7800gtx out of the water if they can ever get the card to store shelves.

lol, Maybe I didnt make myself clear enough. Ill rephrase the question:
Im looking to buy a GT AND a GTX however, there is a large difference in price between the different brands (of GT and GTX) ie XFX (Expensive) and Pixelview (Cheap). So my question is whether there is any difference in performance between the different brands?

Sorry for not making myself clear to beguin with :S

When it comes to the brands, the main difference is quality of the board, warranty, and different companies clock the card at different speeds

Never even heard of Pixelview. Go with XFX, BFG, EVGA, or Leadtek. Theres a few other card makes for Nvidia that are good, but those are the ones that run the best. Like its the quality of the card, some will OC more and have higher performance, others may be same specs but run worse.. Thats why I recomend those brands though.

XFX is one of the best and pay attention to warranties.
Don't know much about the other one. (steer clear of it)
Some might use cheap ram to cut cost, which will oc poor and run poor.
You get what you always pay for.
Not to sound mean, but that p4 2.0 will bottleneck that card bad.

AHH dude just now looked at your specs. Your computer wont be able to handle that card at all. Get at least PC 3200 RAM, and a faster processor and good cooling and OC it. Sorry dude, but your specs are just way to slow for that card.
