well ive used that 7 series card, and ive had the 320mb 8800gts and now the 640 one.
Depending on ur resolution, 8800 320mb is better.
For example, if your running Crysis 1280x720, uses up less ram, thier for 8800 320mb will shine, and top that 7950 over completly.

once you hit 1650x1050, it slows down as it has to use ram, just grab a dx10video card with more than 512mb,
ul be more than sorted up to 1920x1080, you can get 8800gts 640mb for about 90 pound now, Thats what i have,
i run crysis with everything on full at 1680x1050 at 40 frames as long as the shaders on high

I would definitely look elsewhere......the 7950GX2 is a piece of crap. 4650 or 4830 is really where it's at for low dollar performance. It's really amazing what kind of performance you can get nowadays for $100.
There are even some places that have a 4850 for something like $110 after MIR....not sure where though.

Canadian dollar lost its way these couple months, most 4850's are 170+ before rebate.

I suggest getting this card if you got the money:
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...zCjCVqHCjCdwwp
Otherwise a 4670 is also very good as well.
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...2418&sku=34124

Also a lot of 9800GT's in this price range. Go for those if you can fit it in your budget.

don't go for the older 8800GTS 320mb and especially don't go for the 7950GX2.

i dont know how it compares to a 4650 though
What in the blue fuc are you talking about? 8800GTS 320 is the only 8800GTS than falls behind 7950GX2 and X1950XTX on high resolutions.

It's the other way - the 8800GTS 320 will get smacked!

8800GTS 640 on the other hand will outperform the 7950GX2.

I don't care who old is this, but i can't allow BS misleadings, now you can delete this.

That won't change the truth that it's old card and most of the newer cards blow it out of the water.

HOLY MOTHERBOARD! Look how old the thread is!
