As for videocard, your better off with this:

EDIT: actually never its GDDR2 so its even slower than the 2600XT GDDR3
but i have seen better prices on the 2600XT, where do you live in Canada?
Kitchener.

Yeah, I'm going to be seeing the boxing day prices for the stuff that I'm looking for (WD 500GB Caviar Blue Sata2 HDD, Wired Optical Mouse, graphics) and I'll buy the stuff from the place that comes out cheaper after tax and shipping handling. (I dun care for how long is takes aslong as it is <2 weeks).

I was considering that card, but a lot of people complain that it is a box of poo (to be polite) and that it is a pain to install into their system due to its enormous size.

GDDR2 was used on like 2 cards before it was replaced by DDR2. Whenever you see cards with GDDR2 advertised it means that the manufacturer is too stupid to know that the G actually makes a difference.

And the 2600XT is a marginal performance increase over a 7600GT. If you only have DDR2 it will be noticeable. Its not worth more than $20 to upgrade though. Anything more and you would be better off getting a PCIe motherboard.

Switching from an AGP to a PCIe mobo requires a new CPU, new RAM, and hell knows what other compatibility issues to fix.
Upgrading the AGP mobo requires in this case just the new GFX.
nVidia's 7800/7900GS or ATi's X1950 GT/Pro, both with 256bit interface, would beat the 2600XT.
But if the 2600XT is the choice, then I could recommend HIS HD 2600XT IceQ Turbo 512MB/256MB GDDR3 AGP (silent and cool)

I'm waiting until that one drops it price.

As for the whole PCI-e thing, I might end up doing that. Yeah, I dunno what I'm doing. I might hold off until Phenom II comes out and get one of the Phenom x4s barebone kit (motherboard+cpu+ram). Add in a 9600GT or something that I'm estimating maybe $400 max
