Default Which 9800 GT should I buy?

I am thinking about buying a 9800 GT Dual Slot, a normal 9800 GT, or a 9800 GT Superclocked. Which one do you think I should go with? I don't care if the dual slot one takes up 2 slots. Also, aren't the Superclocked versions just overclocked versions of the regular card? Are they reliable?

Thanks in advance,
-Cory Walker

I'd go with the regular edition and grab a DuOrb cooler if you want to overclock it to keep the temps down.

edit: I see the dual slot is actually less expensive than the regular one so I would probably go with that.

I would buy the Super Clocked Ed, but if you purchase a more costly eVGA card, it will benefit you when you go to upgrade down the line because of eVGA's step up program. They take the orginal cost of your product and subtract it from the cost of the new product so in the end you can get a pretty sweet deal.

Just get the dual slot and overclock it yourself. You can always get an aftermarket cooler like the DuOrb if you need to in the future. The dual slot will have the best chance at keeping an overclocked card cool anyways.

Dual Slot. Make sure it's evga or xfx though. Best warranties.

If the superclocked is just an overclocked normal card, what's the point of paying $10 more? Oh, and my budget is around $130. Thanks for the lightning fast responses BTW!

Whoa! 3 new responses while writing. It looks like the dual slot is the winner, and I think I can agree too. Why pay $10 more for a card that you can't overclock as much? Well I think I'll order the 9800 GT Dual Slot and tell you what I think.

The average person doesn't feel comfortable overclocking anything. Sometimes I think they may have slight voltage increases but in reality, you won't miss much at all if it did.

By the way, welcome to the forum and you can put in your system specs here.

If you are bent of getting this card, it will be an okay one. For $130, you could pick up a 4850 and that may be better worth your money (probably more around $150 but with rebate it'll be less than $130). It really depends on your rig right now, though.
