clearly just a fan boy....they are all similar
Clearly you just cant read. The 8800gts took it out in 1 game at like a couple of resolutions. The 4850 owns the 8800gts without breaking a sweat. The 4850 owned it so much nvidia had to come out with the 9800gtx+ to compete with it. So yea.

and most of those benches where it "owned it so much" were by about 5-10 fps (only at 100+ fps were their noticeable diffrences of 10 fps or so but then many monitor refresh 75Hz so it makes no difference anyway) .....so like i said similar....

With new drivers the 4850 took out the 8800gts without any problems. Tell me why nvidia had to come out with the 9800gtx+? For the exact reason to compete with the 4850 because they couldn't with the 8800gts/9800gtx. KTHXBYE.

just show me the benches.....so far all you;ve told me is what i already know, the 4850 is a better card but not by that much, all the benches i;ve seen where both cards are below 100 fps for a game the differences are norm the 4850 is roughly 5 fps higher, at games where the fps are 100+ for both the 4850 is maybe 10-15 fps ahead but as most monitors have 100Hz max refresh rate (many only have 75 so technically anything over 75 won;t actually matter) then anything over 100 is completely useless anyway as your monitor can;t actually out put this.....so again show me the benches where both cards are below 100 fps for a game and the 4850 is "owning" the 8800 GTS 512....

It's been a long time since a Radeon was the graphics card of choice at the all-important $199 price point, but the HD 4850 looks like it might have the title locked up. The current GeForce 9800 GTX is simply no match for AMD's latest mid-range offering, and Nvidia's surprise, the GeForce 9800 GTX+, has quite a bit of ground to make up if it hopes to be competitive. We'll have a full work-up of the GTX+ soon, of course, but the cards only just arrived this morning.

4850. The 4830 will beat the 9800GT and the 4850 will wreck it.
