This was with the 9.2 ATI drivers and the latest WDM 1.1 nvidia drivers. I rolled back to the supplied-with-Windows-7 ATI drivers last night but haven't re-run tests yet.....maybe the WDM 1.1 ATI drivers will give better results.

I am soooo gonna do this with my setup when I get it running. U can get a 9400 for 39.99. Cant beat it.

Now tried with WDM 1.1 drivers for both cards and the performance drop is eliminated but the benefit from Physx is very low.

Guess this just isn't going to work properly yet

Fluid mark says it is using hardware physx but gives a score of 170

i have installed the ati 4850 then the latest ati driver

then installed the 9800gx2 then the latest driver 182.08

when i try and enable my 2nd monitor it says this error


i am using windowx xp home sp 3

well i did it i got my 4850 to work with my 24" and my 9800gx2 to work with my 23"

I installed my 9800gx2 in the top slot (no 4850 installed yet) then installed the nvidia 175.19 drivers (latest ones do no work as they come up with a error tyhat they have disable multi drivers)
once that was working i installed my 4850 in the pci below my 4850 and installed the latest drivers.
so now we know it sorta works witn window 7 and xp (needs alot fo work, i think it needs to be redone from the start again)
