I had this working with an 8600GT, but with my 8800GTS, I have to switch the Nvidia card monitor to be the primary monitor, and then just use the 8800GTS. If anyone figures out how to get an Nvidia card that isn't an 8600GT to work with an ATI card for PhysX, I would really like to know.

Dude, any 8-9-200 series will work. You must run Windows 7 for your setup. I'm using GTX280 as primary and 8800GTS (G80) as Physx

I've now tried with a 4870x2 as primary adapter and the following as physx cards:
__________________8600GTS 8800GTS 640MB 8800GTX 768MB All worked as long as I installed the lasted nvidia drivers. I still seem to have a few 3d Mark tests that give poor results as soon as you enable physx on the nvidia card though - really weird ![]() New Calica test loses about 10% performance Stream out and GPU Particles loses almost 50% performance (almost as if the second core of the x2 is turned off for these tests) Otherwise, it's all working sweet in Windows 7 without any fiddling about (build 7077 x64) Latest Vantage score with physx enabled: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=992578

The Monitor isn't plugged into the Nvidia card is it?

Hackintosh FTW!

Yes, you just have to enable the other monitor in the CP in order to let the nvidia card its time to work, then just go to the physx CP and activate and you are one restart away from some ATI+nVidia goodness

well my 8600gt exploded...
so i put a 8500gt i had lying around in its place but now physx is disabled !, even if i remove the ati card, physx control panel just leads me to nvidia control panel 3d settings so now i see that nvidia has REMOVED SUPPORT FOR PHYSX on any cuda gfx with less than 32 stream processors (8500gt, 9400gt and lower) starting from physx drivers 9.09 (you can even go to their page, it's not there), even though its perfectly capable of doing it (you might say its slow and i should just get another gfx, but 8500gt is fine for just physx, much better than software physx thats for sure) about the cooperation ATI+NVIDIA, i have attached 191.07 patched nvapi.dl_ and nvapi64.dl_ so you can replace them BEFORE installing the driver, and dont have to mess with finicky uninstall then reboot, then install, then patch before reboot, just install the drivers normally and your nvapi*.dll will already be installed patched. (this still doesnt fix my 8500gt problem though) and if you want to run 9.09 physx with a card with less than 32 SP, i have attached the physxcore.dll from 8.09 but with version information edited to match version of 9.09 physxcore.dll. Extract to ageia dir in program files and batman will work (batman explicitly checks physxcore.dll version). Note that this isn't ideal, because it's like youre still using 8.09, and will miss out on any optimizations they introduced in 9.09, but it's the only way if you have a crappy nvidia gfx
