Default New graphic card - need help

Hi

I've found myself searching for a new graphic card for some time now, but i've a problem. I'm having trouble finding out which cads will work with my motherboard, and since it is not listed as a product anywhere, i can't really find any information. It's an ol' Gigabyte GA-8tcr410mnf-rio, you can see it here common.packardbell.com/itemnr/spec_Rio/rio.JPG ...

I've heard good things of the HD4670 (Not looking for the top of the line), but I was wondering if you guys could help me.. Will it run in my system?

Thanks in advance..

It will most likely have a PCI-E slot so that means you can get almost anyway new card.

If I were you I wouldn't get the 4670, I'd get the 4830 instead for like $30 more you get 50% more performance.

My 'family' machine has a Packard Bell Rio 410 board in it (completely unclockable its all BIOS options ae locked out).

Realtek sound, Xpress200 onboard. So you should have a PCI-E slot in it as I'm guessing the boards are almost identical, so uh huh HD4670 will you fine

Thats not what he asked, his PSU would probably go pop running a 4830 for any length of time.

The 4670 is definitely a better choice. It doesn't require external power and competes with the 9600GT

what Amps is your power supply? is it kicking power on the 12v rail? if your psu is strong, get a 4850 or even a 4870 unless you want to save money to get a 4830. it depends on what you want to use your computer for. good luck
