I just got my 3870x2, does it already know theres 2 cards there or what? I'm only getting 70-95 fps in Cod4

I have never run cross fire but if it's any thing like sli then I would assume you have to tell your os or the vid application that you wish to enable cross fire. once you enable it reboot your rig and try to test your FPS and see if they improve any.

No you don't have to activate it, although you can set Dual Video Cards in the CoD 4 settings which should set it. Your frames per seconds suggest that it is already enabled though

in the ccc advanve panel, check the cf page to see if it is enabled. also make sure multi gpu is enabled in the game.

those fps's seem right for a 3870x2 set up.
