There isnt much between them really but having had both i would personally go for the 4850

Ah if your buying a new system id go for a 4870 as the price isnt that much more but the performance will be well worth it.

about 165 170 after MIRs

the cheapest 4870's are around $175 because they are on sale. I won't be getting this system for about 4 more months so the sale might end. The sapphire one that i am looking at is now $174 but its original price is $199 and i can't afford that right now. I was also thinking that maybe if I get the EVGA I can use their Step Up Program to get a GTX 260 later.
