I am thinking about getting a new graphics card and my budget is around $150. I am thinking about either 9800 GTX+ or HD 4850. They are both around that range. so which one would be better for the price?

The GTX+ would be slightly faster, I believe a 4850 is ~8800GT in terms of performance, and the GTX+ is indeed a tad faster.

I persoanly would go with 4850 because i loved mine so much and its so close to this 4870 in terms of performance.

U'd probably be better going with a 9800GT or a 4670 or something and buy a 2GB pack of DDR2 Ram as well. I'm assuming your gonna be wanting to run some games on the new GPU and tbh that ram will SEVERLY limit your perfomance regardless of what GPU you buy.
Just my opinion.

HD4850 for Better AA/AF, 9800GTX+ for a slight faster performance!

The 4830 is more in the range of the 9800GT. The 4850 is right on par with the 9800GTX+ Quote:
The 4850 eats up AA likes it's nothing, so if you play using AA the 4850 consistently pulls ahead of the 9800GTX+

They are both good cards and have about the same performance.

Can you link both the cards you are pretending to buy? go for the better brand/cooling imo.

Also, the 9800's are more expensive (the cheapest one is the same price, but it's a off-brand card with no listed warranty) by about $15. For the price of a EVGA 9800GTX+, for like $10 more, you can get a 4870...
