Anthony, you got a wrong impression like the bigger vram is the better card performs. i see that in the list you made. it's not actually true. you put 4870x2 GB top of 5870 1GB. There's no way 4870X2 can outperform a 5870. Even if a manufacturer actually bundles it with 3GB ram it just can't. Clocks speeds,TMU and ROP count make 5870 is absolute winner.

Problem is that how can GTX 275 beat a 4850X2> If I put it over the 4890 then the 4850X2 under 4890 that wouldn't be right.

That's one review, other reviews show the 4890 ahead in many games.

editted post above.

But ye, if the 4890 is better than the 4850x2 than it will be below the 4890.
Its just all doing a step back...
Only i dont know if the 4850x2 or the 4890 1gig is better...

anyways, i think that list above is better

[edit]@ above, i havent seen any review showing the 4890 better than the gtx275...

You've really not had this argument before? Hm. It's bound to happen a few times.

Anyhow, here's the first two charts I could find:
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/g...1200,1473.html
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3650&p=3

Both show the 4890 winning more often than not at highest settings.
Ensue argument.

@OP, the 4850x2 is generally better than the 4890.

Well, that 4870x2 with 2gb vram is not faster at resolutions below 1920x1080. so in my opinion it would be unfair to call it winner just because it gives better framerates at higher resolutions.

avarage user has 1680x1050, 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. so they'd be disappointed buying a 4870x2 after checking your list and deciding that it still outperforms 5870.right?
