Default Looking for 295 vs 4870x2 vs 9800gx2 benchmarks

I sold an 9800GX2 and upgraded to a 4870x2, but searching on Google, i'm getting nothing but old articles that say their performance is the same, or that the 9800gx2 is beating the 4870x2. did i waste $300+ on a downgrade?

Also, is there evidence that the 4870x2 performs near a GTX295? I don't know if I should've spent the extra hundred to get a 295.

Thanks

here is a comparing site
http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....=560&card2=572

it also depends on the game you play, in general
1 HD 4870 runs faster then a 9800gt.
so the HD 4870x2 should beat it, even better at higher resolutions.
personally, i DONT think u downgraded, but for the 300$ i wouldve bought a HD 4980

4870X2 is like 2 1GB 4870s (similar to GTX 260s)
9800GX2 is like 2 8800GTS 512s (far ownclocked GTS 250s)
4870x2 is a great upgrade, except at folding.

The 4870X2 is much faster than a 9800GX2. For folding, the tables are turned, but for real world/gameplay performance, the 4870X2 is quicker.
