Take the card out and put the new one in. Clean drivers in safe mode and install newest drivers.

firstly go into the control panal and go into add/remove programs.

next, find your ati drivers and uninstall them from there.

following this, reboot the pc and go into safe mode and run the driver sweeper program. (google it)

after this close the pc down and switch the graphics cards over.

Once you have done this, boot the pc up.

Either insert the driver disk that came with the card or go on the internet and download the latest drivers.

Install them

Then after you have done this, simply reboot and enjoy.

Install driver sweeper or driver cleaner or something like that, and boot up in safe mode, wipe the ATi drivers.

Edit: uninstalling them in the control panel would help(before you go into safe mode), make it go smoother.

There's no specific drivers for the x1550...you just download the latest version of Catalyst (there easily found on the AMD/ATI website).

without driver sweeping?

I have done this before but you can easily encounter issues, and is not recommended. It is likely you will encounter issues and have to do it this way in the end so you might aswell cut out the hassle.
