Default secondary rig

which card to use?

8800GTS 640MB
HD 2900XT 1GB
HD 2900 Pro??? i think this is one of those "original" cards.. no manufacterer label. it has a 6 pin and 8 pin power connector. its extra long. give or take 13 - 14". majority of card is heatsink with a backplate attachment and fan to the end. the right end (away from the dvi connector) has like a thing that looks like if u have like a full tower lian li, it can be held onto that bar thing in the middle... for like stabilization.

I thought that those series of cards were not that great for AA and AF.

well the gig of VRAM will handle those kinds of things better usually. the 8800 is good as well, a friend of mine had it and loved it. i dont have any experience with any of the cards, but the 1 gig is what i would go for.....after some comparison.

8800GTS, doesn't have as much RAM but you wont need more until 1920x1200. It's the better card, imo.

HD2900XT will kill the 8800GTS, but it consumes double the amount of power as the 8800GTS does, so keep that in mind (216W max )

3 HD2900XT
3 8800GTS

X_X

theblademaster01 - yah... thats why i was leaning towards the 8800GTS more. i have to use those molex to pci-e adapters for the other one. the psu i have in that comp is like a 550w cooler master psu but it only has 1 pci-e connector
