Im looking to spend about £70-75 on a card, i found a 4850 for £70 so im thinking of getting that instead now, wat do people think?

In the long run is 4770 or 4850 better, bear in mind in a few years i might buy another one for crossfire? cheers

I would get the 4770 over the 4850.

The 4850 may be a little faster at stock, but it can't OC anywhere near as well, even with v-mod.

in terms of longetivity would the overclocked 4770 still have the same lifespan as a 4850 at stock?

by life span do you mean future proof or actual life span?

overclocking will have little effect on the life span of a card unless you crazy volt mod it/have very high temperatures

my 8800 gts was overclocked for 3 years straight and it is still fine

the main thing for me is that it will last me a good 2 or 3 years and maybe more as i might also crossfire it in the future. From wat i've heard so far it is lookin more towards the 4770

the 4770 would be a good choice. 4770's in crossfire perform better than a 4890. The 4770 can also overclock farther.
